A straight forecast may also be known as an Exacta. A tricast may also be known as a Trifecta.
Forecast: first and second
Place a forecast bet by selecting the horses that will finish first and second in the correct order.
You cannot take fixed odds on a forecast. After the race, a dividend is declared showing the forecast return for a £1 stake.
Pounds sterling (GBP) are used as the reference currency. Your return is calculated according to your actual stake.
Alphibet accepts forecast singles and doubles. At least three runners must take part in the race; otherwise, the forecast will be void.
Alphibet settles forecast bets using the returns declared by the Computer Straight Forecast (CSF). Any bonus for forecast doubles or trebles is added to the calculated total return, excluding any leg-by-leg bonus.
When a forecast is void
Void a forecast when:
One of the selected horses does not run.
Fewer than three runners take part in the race.
The bet includes an unnamed favourite.
If an unnamed favourite appears alongside named selections, only the part of the bet containing the unnamed favourite will be void.
When only one horse finishes
If only one horse finishes the race:
Use the forecast dividend declared with any other runner.
Settle forecast bets selecting that horse to finish first as win singles at Starting Price (SP) if no forecast dividend is returned.
Settle all other forecast bets in the race as losers.
Tricast: first, second and third
Place a tricast bet by selecting the horses that will finish first, second and third in the correct order.
Alphibet accepts tricasts as single bets only.

A tricast double, treble or other multiple is accepted in error | Divide the stake equally into tricast singles. |
No Computer Tricast dividend is declared | Settle the bet as a computerised straight forecast using the first and second selections. Disregard the third selection. |
The bet contains an unnamed favourite | Settle that selection as a non-runner. |
The bet contains one non-runner | Invest the total stake as a computerised straight forecast on the two remaining selections in the selected order. Settle combination tricasts as reversed straight forecasts. |
The bet contains two non-runners | Void the stake. |
Fewer than three horses finish | Use the dividend declared for the horses that finish. |
Two or more horses dead heat for first, second or third | Declare separate dividends and pay each qualifying tricast. |
Settle all tricasts in accordance with the official computerised return.
