How to place a Lengthen the Odds bet

A Lengthen the Odds bet allows you to select a horse and predict the minimum distance by which it will win, rather than betting only on the race winner.

Lengthen the Odds is available on selected UK and Irish horse races from 11:00 UK time.

Go to Sports and select Horse Racing.

Select United Kingdom and Ireland, then select Today’s Races and choose the race you want to bet on.

On the selected race page, enable Lengthen the Odds using the available switch.

The runners eligible for Lengthen the Odds will then be displayed.

Select the dropdown menu below your chosen horse and choose the minimum distance by which you think it will win.

Select Bet To Win By X Lengths Or More to add the selection to your bet slip.

A length is a standard measurement used in horse racing to describe the distance between horses at the finish of a race.

For your Lengthen the Odds bet to win, the selected horse must win by at least the distance you chose.

For example, if you select a horse to win by two lengths or more, it must be declared the winner by an official distance of at least two lengths.

Once the selection has been added to your bet slip, enter the amount you want to stake.

Your potential return will update automatically based on your accepted odds and stake.

If you have an eligible promotional reward, you may be able to apply it before placing your bet.

To use available Bonus Funds, select Use Bonus Funds in your bet slip.

If you have an active and eligible Bet Boost Token, you can apply it from your bet slip. Once applied, your potential return will update to reflect the boosted odds.
