Dormant accounts

Your account becomes Dormant after 396 days of inactivity.

When does your account become dormant?

Your account may become dormant if there is no activity on it for 396 consecutive days.

For the purposes of determining account activity, the following actions will prevent your account from becoming dormant:

  • Making a deposit

  • Making a withdrawal

  • Placing a sports bet

  • Placing a casino wager

  • Purchasing a Bingo ticket

Even if you log in during that period, your account will still be considered dormant if you do not perform any of the actions listed above.

What happens if your account becomes dormant?

If your account has a balance, we will inform you in writing that your account has become dormant.

How to reactivate your account

If your account has become dormant and you wish to reactivate it, contact us at [email protected].

If you reactivate your account only to access your outstanding balance and do not plan to continue using it, we recommend closing it immediately afterwards.

Marketing messages

While your account is dormant, you may continue to receive marketing communications if you have opted in.

If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications, contact us at [email protected].

After five years of inactivity

If your account remains dormant for five years from the date of your last transaction, we may anonymize your account and donate any remaining balance to a registered charity dedicated to research, education or the treatment of gambling-related harm.

We will contact you at least 30 days before taking this action. The notification will:

  • Clearly confirm the balance remaining in your account.

  • Explain that you can still access your funds by contacting us within the 30-day notice period.

  • Explain that your account will be anonymized and the remaining balance donated to charity if you do not respond or access your account within that period.

If you contact us during the 30-day notice period, you will retain the right to access your remaining balance, subject to our Terms and Conditions.

Exceptions

Outstanding funds may be withheld or handled differently where permitted under other provisions of our [AlphiBet Terms and Conditions – insert link], including any applicable minimum withdrawal requirements.

Opening a new account

The closure of a dormant account after five years does not prevent you from holding another account with us. You can register a new account at any time, even if your previous account was closed after five years of inactivity.
