Bet settlement, related bets and account restrictions

Learn how Sportsbook bets are settled, why related bets are not accepted and when account restrictions may apply.

How are bets settled?

All Sportsbook bets are settled using decimal odds.

This applies regardless of the odds format selected for display in your account.

Changing your display preference does not affect how your bets or potential returns are calculated.

For more information, see Odds display settings.

What are related bets?

A related bet is a Multiple Bet in which the outcome of one leg directly influences the outcome of another.

Because the odds for related selections cannot be combined independently, related bets are not accepted. AlphiBet’s systems are designed to identify and prevent them from being placed.

Example of a related bet accepted in error

Selection

Leg 1

LA Lakers to Win the Western Conference

Leg 2

LA Lakers to Win the NBA Championship

To win the NBA Championship, LA Lakers must first win the Western Conference. The outcome of Leg 2 therefore depends on the outcome of Leg 1, making the selections related.

If a technical issue results in this or another related bet being accepted, it will be settled in accordance with AlphiBet’s Related Bet Rule. Depending on the selections, this means settling the bet as split-stake Singles or as the next available Multiple down.

Can AlphiBet restrict my account?

Yes. AlphiBet may:

  • Restrict the stakes that can be placed from an account.

  • Restrict access to selected Sportsbook markets or features.

  • Remove Sportsbook betting access from an account.

Any restriction will be applied after the account has been reviewed and may be permanent.

If you have questions about a restriction on your account, contact Customer Service.
