Rules that apply to all Alphibet Football Bet Builder and Soccer Same Game Parlay bets, including tournament markets.
1. Apply these rules to all Bet Builder and Same Game Parlay Tournament Markets, even where they differ from Alphibet’s standard ante-post or futures markets. If these rules conflict with the Football Rules, these rules will take precedence.
2. Treat all bets as relating to the entire tournament unless the bet description explicitly states otherwise. For example: “In the group stages”.
3. Count extra time unless otherwise specified.
4. Exclude penalty shoot-outs unless otherwise specified.
5. Void the entire bet if any component of the bet is made void.
6. Treat Alphibet’s data provider’s decision as final in the event of a dispute.
7. Exclude own goals and penalty shoot-outs from any bet involving goalscorers or player goals unless otherwise specified.
8. Count a free-kick goal only when the goal is scored directly from a free kick. Penalties and corners do not count.
9. Count an assist when the final pass or pass-cum-shot leads to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal. This includes winning a penalty, having an attempt saved, taking a shot that hits the woodwork, scoring from a rebound and instigating an own goal through a shot or pass.
10. Count two yellow cards followed by a red card as two cards. No individual player can receive more than two cards in a single match. Extra time counts, but cards shown after the final whistle do not count. Count a straight red card as one card in every circumstance.
11. Count cards shown to any player in the team’s matchday squad or game-day roster, whether the player is on the field of play or not. Do not count cards shown to backroom staff.
12. Settle Team To Reach Stage selections as winners when the team reaches at least the specified stage. For example, “England to reach the quarter-finals” is a winning bet if England reaches the semi-finals or final.
13. Settle Team To Score or Concede Goals In Stage selections according to the quoted total. For an Over selection, the team must exceed the quoted number. For an Under selection, the team must score fewer than the quoted number.
14. Require a team to outscore its opponent in Team To Outscore Team selections. Settle the selection as a loser if Team A scores fewer goals than Team B or the same number of goals. Count goals scored in extra time towards the team’s total, but exclude goals scored in penalty shoot-outs.
15. Require the specified player to score at least the quoted number of goals for a Player To Score At Least X Goals selection to win. All bets stand regardless of whether the named player participates in the tournament.
16. Require a player to outscore the opposing player in Player To Outscore Player selections. Settle the selection as a loser if the player scores fewer goals than the opponent or the same number of goals. Count goals scored in extra time towards the player’s total, but exclude goals scored in penalty shoot-outs. All bets stand regardless of whether the named players participate in the tournament.
17. Require every named team or player to reach the relevant total when a selection requires both teams or players to score, score two or more goals or score three or more goals.
18. Require a player group to outscore the opposing player group in aggregate. Settle the selection as a loser if the group scores fewer goals than the opposing group or the same number of goals. Count goals scored in extra time towards the group’s total, but exclude goals scored in penalty shoot-outs. All bets stand regardless of whether the named players participate in the tournament.
19. Require a team to progress further than its opponent in Team To Progress Furthest selections. Settle the selection as a loser if both teams exit the competition at the same stage. If the two tournament finalists are paired in a selection, the winning team is the team that wins the tournament. Apply the same rule to any play-off matches for third and fourth place.
20. Require the specified player to receive at least one red card during the tournament for a Player To Receive A Red Card selection to win. Count red cards awarded during extra time, but exclude red cards shown after the final whistle. Treat all players in their team’s squad as runners, whether they take to the field of play or not.
21. Require the specified player to score at least one headed goal during the tournament for a Player To Score A Header selection to win. Count headed goals scored during extra time. All bets stand regardless of whether the named player participates in the tournament. For a goal to count as a headed goal, the goalscorer’s final touch must be with the head.
22. Require the specified player to score at least one direct free-kick goal during the tournament for a Player To Score A Free-kick selection to win. Count direct free-kick goals scored during extra time. All bets stand regardless of whether the named player participates in the tournament. Penalties and corners do not count as free kicks for settlement purposes.
23. Require the player to outscore the opposing team in Player To Outscore Team selections. Settle the selection as a loser if the player scores fewer goals than the opposing team or the same number of goals. Count goals scored in extra time towards the tournament total, but exclude goals scored in penalty shoot-outs. All bets stand regardless of whether the named player participates in the tournament. Own goals do not count towards the player’s total, but they count towards the team’s total and are awarded to the team credited with the goal.
24. Require the team to outscore the opposing player in Team To Outscore Player selections. Settle the selection as a loser if the team scores fewer goals than the player or the same number of goals. Count goals scored in extra time towards the tournament total, but exclude goals scored in penalty shoot-outs. All bets stand regardless of whether the named player participates in the tournament. Own goals do not count towards the player’s total, but they count towards the team’s total and are awarded to the team credited with the goal.
25. Settle the relevant component as a winner if the ball hits any part of the woodwork or goal frame.
26. Allow Alphibet to cancel any bet placed at a price containing an obvious error or on a tournament containing an error in the description of an outcome.
27. Settle the entire bet as a loser if the outcome is tied. For example, “Harry Kane to be the top England goalscorer” is a losing selection if any other England player scores the same number of goals as Harry Kane or more.
28. Apply a maximum payout of £500,000, or the currency equivalent, per customer per day across all Bet Builder and Same Game Parlay markets.
29. Treat the starting eleven or starting line-up and substitutes as the matchday squad or game-day roster.
30. Treat a player as taking an active part if the player starts or comes on as a substitute during any match.
31. Shot On Target
Count a goal attempt as a Shot On Target when it meets any of the following conditions:
31.1. The attempt goes into the net, regardless of intent.
31.2. The attempt is a clear attempt to score that would have gone into the net but for being saved by the goalkeeper, or it is stopped by the last player between the ball and the goal when the goalkeeper has no chance of preventing the goal. This is known as a last-line block.
31.3. Do not count a shot that directly hits the goal frame as a Shot On Target unless the ball goes in and is awarded as a goal.
31.4. Do not count a shot blocked by another player who is not the last player between the ball and the goal as a Shot On Target.
31.5. Use OPTA data to settle this market.
32. Shot Off Target
Count a clear attempt to score as a Shot Off Target when it meets any of the following conditions:
32.1. The attempt goes over or wide of the goal without making contact with another player.
32.2. The attempt would have gone over or wide of the goal but for being stopped by a goalkeeper’s save or an outfield player.
32.3. The attempt directly hits the goal frame and a goal is not scored.
32.4. Do not count blocked shots as Shots Off Target.
32.5. Use OPTA data to settle this market.
33. Goal Assist
Award a Goal Assist to the player responsible for the final touch—a pass, pass-cum-shot or any other touch—leading to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal. If an opposing player deflects the final touch, award the assist to the initiating player only if the receiving player was likely to receive the ball without the deflection. Do not award an assist for an own goal, directly taken free kick, direct corner goal or penalty. Use OPTA data to settle this market.
34. Tackle
Count a Tackle when a player connects with the ball in a ground challenge and successfully takes it away from the player in possession. The tackled player must clearly be in possession before the tackle is made. Do not count cutting out a pass by any means as a tackle. Use OPTA data to settle this market.
35. Offside
Award an Offside to the player considered to be in an offside position when a free kick is awarded. If two or more players are in an offside position when the pass is played, award the offside to the player considered most active and attempting to play the ball. Use OPTA data to settle this market.
36. Body Part For Goals And Shots
Record the Body Part For Goals And Shots as one of four categories: right foot, left foot, head or other. Treat any connection with the leg as a foot. Use OPTA data to settle this market.
37. Pass
Count any intentionally played ball from one player to another as a Pass. Include open-play passes, goal kicks, corners and free kicks played as passes. Exclude crosses, goalkeeper throws and throw-ins. Use OPTA data to settle this market.
38. Daily Tournament Markets
Void every Daily Tournament Market selection involving a postponed or abandoned match. Settle unaffected selections as normal when the results are known.
39. Apply Alphibet’s standard Football and Soccer Betting Rules to any situation not covered by these rules.
